Defence for Children International – Netherlands

Defence for Children International – Netherlands (DCI-Nederland) works to protect and promote the rights of all children, both in the Netherlands and globally.

The organisation advocates for clear legal entitlements, child-centred decision-making and meaningful child participation. It raises awareness through public campaigns, training and education. Its Child Rights Helpdesk provides information and legal assistance, while research and monitoring inform its policy work. DCI-Nederland focuses in particular on children in vulnerable situations, including those affected by violence, in contact with the law, in detention, growing up in poverty, or on the move.
