Subgranting Scheme
2026
What Young Justice Transformers Have to Say
Objectives of the call
One of CFJ-EN’s core objectives is to empower children to have their rights respected in judicial proceedings, to collect their views in a participatory manner and ensure they are heard, and to strengthen children’s capacity to advocate for their own rights. These objectives are set out in the CFJ-EN 2023–2025 Strategic Plan under Strategic Priority 1, “Strengthening Children’s Agency”, which aims to increase meaningful child participation within CFJ-EN member organisations.
The 2026 Grant Agreement signed between CFJ-EN and the European Commission includes a sub-granting scheme. Under this scheme, three eligible CFJ-EN members will receive an eight-month grant to establish a Young Justice Transformers Group in the country in which they are based.
Young Justice Transformers Groups are composed of five to ten young people aged between 15 and 22 who have had contact with justice systems as children (civil, administrative, or criminal), or who have a strong interest in justice systems and children’s rights.
More information on what constitutes a group of Young Justice Transformers can be found in the Terms of Reference and the Guidance Note.
