Susanna Greijer

Independent Child Justice Consultant for the CoE

Susanna Greijer studied political science, international relations and law. She holds a PhD in law, specialising in international law and children’s rights. Dr Greijer has worked for NGOs and governments on children’s rights issues, particularly concerning violence against children, child participation and child-friendly justice. As an independent expert, she has been advising international organisations such as the UN, the Council of Europe and UNICEF since 2012. 


Currently, Dr Greijer is a part-time research fellow at the Luxembourg Observatory on Children, Young People and Educational Quality, and she continues to work as an independent expert for the Council of Europe where she leads important processes to develop the regional standards in the field of child-friendly justice.
