Silvia Randazzo
Independent Child Justice Expert

Silvia Randazzo is a criminologist and PhD researcher at KU Leuven, Belgium, conducting comparative research on diversion practices for children in conflict with the law in Europe.
She has worked as a researcher and project coordinator on several European and international multi-country projects related to child justice. These cover areas such as violence against children, access to justice, discrimination, restorative justice, individual assessment, and legal aid and assistance.
As an international consultant, she develops research methodologies and tools, conducts in-depth research, and drafts policy papers and training materials for professionals. This work is carried out in collaboration with NGOs and international organisations, including CFJ-EN members, Penal Reform International, the European Forum for Restorative Justice, the UNODC Global Programme to End Violence against Children, and the Council of Europe Child Rights Division.
Silvia is strongly committed to preventing unfair treatment, stigmatisation, (re)victimisation, and discrimination against children in contact with the law, and to ensuring that children and young people's voices inform evidence-based policymaking.
