Manu Krishan

Global Study Programme Coordinator, Global Campus of Human Rights

Manu Krishan is a human rights and sustainability consultant with expertise on the rights of the child. He was born and raised in Vienna with Indian roots.


Manu studied Philosophy before completing his MA in Human Rights. He recently graduated from a Master of Science in Sustainability, Entrepreneurship and Technology at the Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU), where he explored the intersections of children's rights, sustainability and climate change, emerging technologies, and the role of the private sector.


His work includes child justice, child protection, and participation, grounded in ethical research conducted with and for children.

His primary position is at the Global Campus of Human Rights, where he serves as Global Study Programme Coordinator. In this role, he helps implement the follow-up to the UN Global Study on Children Deprived of Liberty, supporting the UN Independent Expert and the Secretary General of the Global Campus of Human Rights in this area.

He also serves on the Steering Committee of the World Congress on Justice with Children, and on the Steering Group of the Child-Friendly Justice European Network.
