Katarzyna Janicka-Pawlowska

Katarzyna Janicka-Pawlowska recently became Deputy Head of Unit for Security in the Digital Age in the European Commission's Directorate-General for Migration and Home Affairs (DG HOME). She previously served as the first European Commission Coordinator for Victims' Rights, leading the implementation of the EU Strategy on Victims' Rights (2020-2025) and coordinating efforts to strengthen victims' rights and support across the EU. A lawyer by training with more than 20 years of experience at the European Commission, she has worked across a broad range of policy areas, including criminal justice, digital policy, transparency, equality, etc., bringing extensive expertise in EU law and policymaking.
