Benoit Van Keirsbilck

Since December 2012, Benoît Van Keirsbilck has been Director of Defence for Children International Belgium, having previously led the Service Droit des Jeunes de Bruxelles (SDJ) for 25 years.Since December 2012, Benoît Van Keirsbilck has been Director of Defence for Children International Belgium, having previously led the Service Droit des Jeunes de Bruxelles (SDJ) for 25 years.
He is currently Chair of the CFJ-EN, and chaired the Defence for Children International Movement from 2013 to 2017.
Benoît is a member of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of the Child and of the Interdisciplinary Centre for the Rights of the Child. He is also Editor-in-Chief of the Belgian edition of the Journal du Droit des Jeunes.
He delivers a variety of training courses and lectures, and provides numerous expert opinions on children's law at both national and international levels.
