Nantina Tsekeri

Nantina Tsekeri is a human rights lawyer and child rights expert. She advocates for children’s rights before EU and international fora, with a specialisation in International Child Rights and Refugee Law. Nantina is the founder and CEO of Defence for Children International (DCI) in Greece. She also serves as Vice President of the EU Child Friendly Justice Network and is the co-founder and Chief Humanitarian Director of MendingCircle.org.
Nantina has previously worked for UNHCR, Amnesty International, and as a consultant in the third sector. In 2020, she was one of ten individuals globally to receive the prestigious Swedish Child10 Award for her distinguished work with displaced children.
She holds an LLM in International Human Rights Law and Criminal Justice and has completed three years of academic research in child rights and refugee law at the University of Glasgow School of Law.
