Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights

The Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights (HFHR) is one of the oldest non-governmental organisations working in the field of human rights protection in Poland. A long-standing actor in this area, HFHR works to promote a culture grounded in respect for human rights both in Poland and internationally.

Its main areas of activity include education at both national and international levels, strategic litigation, and the provision of legal advice. HFHR also monitors the human rights implications of actions taken by public authorities.

In addition, the Foundation organises WATCH DOCS Human Rights in Film, one of the largest human rights film festivals in the world.
