Eftychia Katsigaraki

Eftychia Katsigaraki is Director of two divisions within the Greek Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights: the Directorate of Special Therapeutic Detention Facilities and the Directorate for the Prevention of Juvenile Delinquency and Penitentiary Treatment.

Her work focuses on juvenile justice policy and practice, including research, participation in European programmes, and the development of proposals to improve the criminal justice legal framework. She oversees the implementation and evaluation of training, psychosocial support, and rehabilitation programmes for young people in detention facilities across Greece, including educational, creative, and professional development initiatives.
