Defence for Children International – Italy (DCI–Italia) works with and for children to build a society that fully respects their rights. The organisation promotes the recognition of children as rights holders and active citizens. Its work includes research and analysis, awareness-raising, and training for professionals.
DCI–Italia also monitors and reports rights violations, helping to prevent abuse and highlight accountability. In addition, it engages in advocacy and develops legal proposals to improve laws and policies. Its expertise includes juvenile justice, deprivation of liberty, procedural rights, and children on the move.
