CICS.NOVA Interdisciplinary Centre of Social Sciences

CICS.NOVA is a public research centre based in Lisbon, Portugal, with several regional hubs forming a national network. Its mission is to carry out high-quality, interdisciplinary research that supports critical thinking in the social sciences and informs policymaking.

The Rights, Policy and Justice research team focuses on children’s rights and youth justice. It brings together researchers, public authorities and community organisations to address issues such as child-friendly justice and children deprived of their liberty, contributing to more informed and effective policies and practices.
