Mid-term meeting - CFJ IA

Child-Friendly Justice in Action partners met from 28 to 30 October 2019 in Genoa. They were hosted by Defence for Children International - Italy.

The objectives of this second partnership meeting were to take stock of the achievements so far reached and to plan the final activities. This enabled partners to share their experiences on the drafting of the first part of their national reports which were focussing on the administrative procedures in the contexts of migrant children and in the placement of children in institutional care (in Czechia only).

Before March 2020, partners will implement participative workshops with children in order to gather their voices regarding their migration experiences and their placement in institutional care. Furthermore, several multiplier events will take place beginning of next summer during which partners will present the results of the project:

- An information tool for professionnals in contact with young people in administrative procedures in order to help them implement child-frienldy principles in their daily work;

- A European report including the main challenges, inspiring practices and recommendations on how to better respect child-friendly principles in the context of administrative procedures.

So stay tuned for more information on these events!
