CFJ in action partners launched the project activities !

The Child-Friendly Justice in Action! project is funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Commission from October 2018 to September 2020. The project is coordinated by Defence for Childen International-Belgium and DCI-World Service Foundation. The European section of DCI in Czech Republic, Greece, Spain, France, Italy and the Netherlands are partners. It aims to guide and promote the adaptation of administrative proceedings to the specificities of the child. This approach is based on the child-friendly principles enshrined in the Guidelines of the Council of Europe for a child-friendly justice.

In this regard, the research will be divided into two phases:

- A field research phase that gives the voice to front-line professionals

- Participative workshops that give the voice to children in contact with administrative agencies/services/jurisdictions.

Then, our objective will be to create a useful tool to support professionals in the implementation of child-friendly justice principles : a mean to turn theory into practice !

It was also the opportunity to launch the European Network on Child-friendly Justice, to formalize it and to start discuss next steps.

CFJ - European Network is born !
